Cassandra Keany

Cassandra is a 13 year-old girl who has a thirst for acting. She has landed roles in her school's drama club, PAS Performances Arts Studio, and Performing Arts Studio Port Jeff. Her recent biggest role was Belle in Beauty and the Beast.


What are Some of Your Previous Performances That you Have Done?

Cassandra is super talented and has done some really great performances. "I've done Beauty and the Beast as Belle, Anastasia as Anastasia, Peter Pan as Captain Hook, and Alice in Wonderland as The Queen of Hearts. I've done so many honestly I can't remember."


How and Where did you Start Acting?

I would imagine that an actress as great as she is started very early. "I started at PAS Performances Arts Studio and I was around 7."


What Inspired you to Start Acting?

Most people are inspired by their friends and family but she... you'll have to read on to see what her inspiration was. "I loved watching musical on tv and singing. I always like pretending I was in movies or shows, so then I decided I wanted to try to be an actor."


Do You Have Any Particular Dreams or Goals in Acting?

A young actress as herself has many different dreams. "I would like to make it to be a tv actor or make it on broadway."


What was the Most Challenging Role You've Had to Play?

Some roles are way more challenging than others, in sme people's opinions. "I had to play Cladwell in Urinetown and really was a role with pages of dialogue and was definitely a challenge."


What Have you Learned from Playing Some of These Roles?

Each role comes with a different lesson. "I've learned that different experiences give you different outlooks and you look at life differently if you look through another person's life."


Do You Do Any Other Extracurricular Activities Inside or Outside of School?

Actors and actresses don't tend to do anything else besides acting. "I run cross country and track."


What's the Most Challenging Part About Bringing the Script to Life?

I would imagine that the interactions with the other characters could be hard. "I think the most challenging thing would be thinking to yourself what would Belle say or how would Belle react and I think of this with every character."


Who Do You Look Up to in Acting?

There are many great people to look up to in acting. "I look up to Laura Bell Bundy and Renee Rapp. Those women are truly talented and show who's boss. I look up to their performances and would someday like to be like them."
