Ethan is a 17 year old who wanted to become an actor to tell a story. "Acting is amazing. I've always loved it and being able to connect to an audience and that's what inspired me and it truly my life goal. I used to live on a small island in the middle of no where and this one time Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds came to the island and that changed my life because I got to meet Ryan and I got to meet Blake and see movie magic for the kind of the first time and that was awesome. That truly motivated me to keep going and to push past all the negatives and shoot for the stars." His biggest role was Cody in a true Australian film called "Hoodlumz".

What are Some of Your Previous Roles?
"I am best known best for my role as the rebellious youth, Cody, in the true Australian feature film 'Hoodlumz', and the clean-cut, shy lead in James Spears' apocalyptic disaster film 'Schoolies Week'." Ethan said. In my opinion, he has been through a lot of experiences through his career. "Other smaller roles include the energetic, quirky lead in the film "Bob" (selected as a Finalist in FlickerFest film festival); the dramatic leading roles in "Beyond the Darkness" and "CheckMate", a teen boy in the web and print advertisements for the Gold Coast Suns; and a collection of other short films, university graduation productions and theatre performances."
What is the Hardest Part About Bringing in the Script to Life?
Some people find it easier to bring the script of a specific scene of the movie to life while others have it harder. "Distractions and miscommunication."
What are Your Goals for the Future?
Goals mean anything to anyone in any career. People set more goals for themselves and they could be easy goals to reach or hard ones. "To tell stories, powerful stories that impact lives and evoke emotion. Although I would love to work with other well known passionate artists to bring together things bigger than ourselves. A life goal has been to work with the award-winning director Martin Scorsese."
What are Lessons You've Learned From Acting?
There could be working wit your co-workers, the organization, or even just the simplest of lessons. "So much, every character, every minute you are learning new things if not you are doing something wrong. Life lessons, learning skills from other cast members you name it."
What was Your Inspiration for Becoming an Actor?
Inspiration can come from different actors or actresses, directors, and even family members. "Growing up I lived on a very small island in the middle of nowhere but I always loved performing, magic show, skits anything that created entertainment, I did theatre from a young age and school plays but the big spark that truly ignited the flame was when the shallows film (Blake Lively) came to shoot on the small island, and I got to see movie magic first hand for the first time and I was hooked."
What Challenges Have you Faced While Acting?
Challenges come from time schedules, co-actors and actresses, the directors, or just your personal in general. "The Australian film industry is quite hard as it is so small compared to Hollywood or American industry. So breaking into and getting work professionally is incredibly hard. Another thing is as a young actor and while still in school, balancing studies and acting is always a struggle."
Is There Anything you Would Like to Improve on? If so, What?
Improvement is everything. It's the key to a good career. "You can always and should always be improving, we are never perfect and we should keep growing as creatives, so I want to improve with everything."
What do you Like and Dislike About Acting?
These things are all on your opinion. It depends on how much you like the movie, commercial, or play you are in. "I dislike how it has become all about money and fame and views instead of the craft and the creative vision and talent. Although I love escaping reality and stepping into someone else shoes and telling stories for the world to see, that’s why I love acting."
Who is a Role Model to you as an Actor?
"My main role model for me and he is one of the reasons I began acting in the first place, Matthew McConaughey. The reason being he is an absolute legend, he just gives so much to his roles and always delivers an amazing well-rounded performance and at the end of the day is an incredible guy. And the way he broke the typecast from rom-com boyfriend characters to Oscar-winning characters with incredible diversity from one another eg White boy rick to the wolf on wall street and then to Dallas buyers club."
How do you Bring Your Personality to the Character That you are Playing?
Sometimes your personality matches a character that you are playing so you bring your emotions, experiences to the character to relate to the character more and play the character more realistically. "I try to not bring anything personal to a performance. As it's not about you, you are a different person altogether. But I do try to bring a little personal experience for example if its a bullying scene I would try to bring my past just for it to seem more genuine and to improve the raw emotion of the certain events (that’s kind of the method response I use)"
