Emilia Danielle

Emilia is an 11 year old girl who loves to create new characters and be someone else, also to try new things. She has done TV drama and TVC. Her biggest role was the White Christmas Girl for Movie World Campaign and a featured extra role in The End.


What is the Scariest Part of an Audition?

A scary part of an audition is when you first walk in and there is total complete silence. Also, when you are waiting to hear if you got in or not. "Not knowing what they want and which direction they want you to read the part."


What is the Hardest Part About Bringing the Script to Life?

When you are playing the character, you have to think of ways to bring your character to the stage. You're saying the words for the first time and you might have a hard time at first but you get the hang of the character the more you play the character. "Getting into character can be challenging when you don't have life experience to draw on. I have auditioned for some really intense roles. "


What is Your Favorite Musical?

Musicals can be an inspiration for a lot of people. One of my personal favorites is Hamilton. It tell the history of his life but in a form of a musical and in music. "I love Les Miserables."


What was Your First Time on Stage Like?

In fifth grade, I auditioned for a part in The Music Man. I was super nervous but I had a positive attitude. "I have only performed on stage with dance and cheer, and the first time was so scary."


What are Some Goals That you set for Yourself?

Every actor and actress has to set goals for themselves. I don't mean future dream roles or meeting people, I mean like getting a better part or making the character that you are playing more realistic. "I want to work more on my acting and become more confident about it. "


What are Some Lessons you Have Learned?

You have to love yourself and the part you are playing. Give as much love to others that need it as much love as you give yourself. "Don't take negativity on board. Listen and grow and also just go with it"


What was Your Inspiration to Start Acting?

Meryl Streep once said 'Integrate what you believe in every single area of your life. Take your heart to work and ask the most and best of everybody else, too.' "Of course, fellow Gold Coast girl Margot Robbie."


What are Some Challenges you Have to Face?

One challenge a lot of actors and actresses face is their fears. You can get on stage a whole bunch of times but you will always think about what you know and feel when you're there. "My shyness."


Is There Anything you Want to Improve on? If so, What?

Not being able to act in front of an audience can be something to improve on. You have to act like no one is watching. No one judges how you act, if you think you're bad, think differently. You have to always think positively. "Stop being so shy and believe in myself more."


How has Acting Affected Your Life?

A person's life is very personal. Adding in other activities changes your normal schedule. "Only in a good way, my family and I have fun building the characters, learning the scripts and performing them in different ways. "


What do you Like and Dislike About Acting?

What is there to dislike? Acting is about fun and adventures on the way. You make new friends and have so much fun. "I love all the people you meet and friends you make, also set food is the best! Nothing that I dislike."


What do you do to Conquer Your Stage Fright?

A way to conquer stage fright is to stay focused on what you are doing and don;t let anything distract you. "I have to be calm, listen to music and try to relax."


What Cues do you Have While you are on Stage?

Not a lot of people do stage work but this question is still good to ask. Cues help you stay focused and to remember where to go on set. "Don't really do stage work."


How has Acting Made you a Better Person?

Acting can help you relieve stress. It helps you admit how much things and people mean to you. You can express your feelings and not to hold your feelings back. "Is made me appreciate the opportunities I have."


What Emotions do you Feel When on Stage and Acting?

Emotions bring your character to life. It shows what they are feeling and is more real to the world. "The emotions of some of the characters I have read for are intense. Having to understand such mature content at a young age has made me realize how lucky I am to be in this position, to share the stories of others. "


Who is/are Your Role Model(s) and why?

"To be honest, it just fell in to place. It was something I just felt I had to try."


Besides Acting, What Other Extracurricular Activities do you do?

Music can help with your acting skills. Understanding music can give actors and actresses a better understanding of who they are playing and become more attached to the character. " I'm also a child model, signed with an agency in Melbourne. A cheerleader, dancer and I study Taekwondo, I hope to be a black belt next year. I would love to do a gritty action series or movie like Hanna. "
