What are Some of Your Previous Roles?
"In my first play, which I think it was called Bad Day, I played Jane. In Theater Three I was a lost boy. In elementary, I was in various plays because my class would put them on. In 5th grade, I got Horton in Suessical Jr. In 6th grade, our school put on Peter Pan and I was the shadow, a mermaid, and an indian. In 7th grade, I was one of the silly girls in Beauty and the Beast.
What is the Hardest Thing About Bringing the Script to Life?
One of the many hard things, in our opinion, is acting like your character and trying to bring your own personality to the character. "Really creating your character and being the character can be hard, because sometimes the character doesn't act the same as you so you have to have a huge personality change."
What is Your favorite Musical?
West Side Story is great. The music, dancing, and the story is like nothing anyone has seen before. "I listened to the musical Six about the wives of King Henry and I loved it! I also love Mamma Mia and we watch it religiously. I also was obsessed with Rock of Ages in my younger years."
Do you Want a Future in Acting? If so, What?
Acting as a career involves more than performing in movies. Working actors perform in live theater, theme parks, commercials, and TV shows. "Yes! Ever since I was little I've always wanted to be on TV and to be in movies. Broadway wasn't really my goals, I wanted to be on the screens. Being on a movie or TV show would be a dream come true."
What Inspired you to Start Acting?
'The thing I like about acting is being able to lose yourself completely in someone else. I'm not that comfortable when I get recognized.' - Ellen Page "I've always wanted to be on stage and on TV like I said before. I was inspired by all the amazing movies I've seen and all the actors and actresses in these plays and movies."
Do you do any Extracurricular Activities Besides Acting?
Did you know that sleep is when most improvements take place? This is because during sleep connections are made and information is stored for a longer amount of time. "Yes, I play sports and play an instrument."
What is the Biggest Challenge for you?
We've all met actors who hate theater because it's not 'real'. They feel they have to stage their acting. It has to be real or truthful. "My biggest challenge is being that character and getting into the role. You have to think about how you want the character to be besides the traits that are given."
Do you Have any Backstage Rituals?
A good way to clam yourself is to make connections with your audience. Smile and greet them, think of them as your friend and not your enemy. " Yes, I usually talk with my friends, wish them good luck (break a leg), and have a pep talk with my friends."
Is There Anything you Want to Improve on?
Improvement comes with consistency and dedication towards acting. "I want to improve on everything that need improvement because there is always room for improvement! I want to be the best that I can be on stage."
What is a Lesson you Have Learned From Being on Stage?
The thing that makes life interesting is one moment to the next, life is never dull. Emotions can shift from happy to sad. This also separates beginners from professional actors, the conflict between opposing forces and they can never have a dull moment on stage. "I've learned a lot on stage. I've learned cooperation, teamwork and a lot more."
